The Denville Green Sustainability Committee
Our Committee is comprised of volunteers and appointed Township officials. It was established through an ordinance in order to both recommend environmental sustainability measures for our town and to promote awareness and education on this important topic.

How We Make a Difference
We set examples through our activities and our participation in various “green” events and programs. We coordinate sustainability topics and initiatives with the Township’s Council, Committees, Administration, and its Civic groups as well. We are the channel to Sustainable Jersey, with whom we have achieved certification. Our Facebook site encourages sustainability practices and serves as a knowledge-based resource through our pertinent postings and announcements.
Our Certification with Sustainable Jersey
The Sustainability Institute at the College of New Jersey (Ewing Township) manages statewide support to communities pursuing sustainable development with training, tools, and financial incentives.
Through our Committee the town of Denville has actively participated in the rigorous Sustainable Jersey Certification Program, and certified since 2010.
"We are very pleased to announce that Denville has achieved the Institute's Silver-level award for the 2017-20 cycle."
Additionally, Denville Board of Education proudly participates in the Sustainable Jersey for Schools Program as well. Get the details at www.sustainablejersey.com
