The Construction Department is here to assist Township residents when they are making any construction changes to their houses. Our office has jurisdiction over building, plumbing, electric and fire changes or improvesments. The department's main goal is to ensure that any and all work is code compliant and that proper techniques and procedures are followed for your safety.

GENERATORS

You will need the following in order to obtain a permit for a stationary generator:

· Survey of property showing location
· Building technical form
· Electrical technical form
· Plumbing technical form
· Specifications of generator
· Type of gas- Natural or Propane

Note: size and location of Propane Tanks must be shown on survey.

Transfer switches for a portable generator require an electrical permit.
