Engineering
The Engineering department is responsible for maintaining:
- Tax, Topographical, Flood, Sewer, Water and Street Maps
- Site Plans and Applications for the Planning and Zoning Boards
Township Engineer:
- Provides expertise to Mayor and Council
- Reviews and reports on all Planning and Zoning Board applications
- Prepares annual grants for NJDOT and NJDEP
- Involved in Township infrastructure improvement projects
Engineering Inspector:
- Inspects construction development projects, site plans and subdivisions
- Oversees the annual road paving project and road openings
- Maintains and updates the utility and tax maps
- Manages annual tree planting and monitors tree removal (as forester)
Engineering Secretary:
- Responsible for the office work, which consists of copying and selling tax, topo and street maps, receiving all incoming calls and walk-ins
- Responsible for County and State Open Space applications
- Prepares grant paperwork
- Prepares and manages all purchase requisitions
