Permits are required for all oil tanks. The township does not require you to remove or abandon tanks upon transfer of property. That is a decision between the buyer and seller.

Effective January 15, 2010 (N.J.A.C.7:14B-1.6) all work on unregulated oil tanks must be perform by a certified individual. Proof of certification must be shown in order to obtain the proper permits. For further information on this you may contact:
